Matt Coose

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Matt is a long-time IT and cybersecurity executive with extensive experience in operational cybersecurity and large-scale security and risk management programs. After graduating from West Point, Matt served as an Army pilot, and worked with both large and small businesses in the private sector before transitioning to government. Prior to founding Qmulos, he served as the Senior Executive and Director of Federal Network Security at DHS, where he led the transformation of FISMA across the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government. While working with White House staff, he jointly conceived and initiated the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program, a multi-billion dollar cybersecurity continuous monitoring program. He is an avid Caps fan and has a serious ice hockey habit.

Jamie deGraffenreid

Chief Operating Officer

Jamie is a seasoned management, consulting, and business operations professional, specializing in building and managing cross-functional teams, process efficiency, and business development. She has extensive experience in public and private sector organizations in the technology and cybersecurity industries. As Qmulos’ Chief of Staff she designs and implements internal operations and executes on evolving strategies to drive and sustain growth. She leads Q’s expert team of super-humans including our extensive Splunk and Qmulos Professional Services team. Outside of the office, she can be found in the ring with her boxing gloves on.

Tieu Luu

Chief Product Officer
Tieu is a seasoned technologist with extensive experience in the development of complex software systems across startups, Fortune 500 companies, and large government agencies. He has developed enterprise-wide solutions for the Department of Defense for vulnerability management, incident response, cybersecurity situational awareness, and continuous monitoring of millions of devices across the DoD’s networks. Tieu is responsible for the strategy and implementation of Qmulos’ cutting edge products that help organizations automate cybersecurity compliance and auditing and achieve real-time integrated risk management. He likes big data!

Nick Jovanovic

Chief Revenue Officer
Nick is an executive leader with over two decades of experience working in enterprise data storage, cybersecurity, compliance, and artificial intelligence. Nick is passionate about building teams and challenging them to reach their highest potential. He has forged long-term relationships with co-workers, clients, and industry partners to solve complex problems for high-profile organizations like the Department of State, Joint Staff, DoD CIO, US Army Human Resources Command, DoD Mark Center, Defense Health Agency, multiple US Intelligence Agencies, and many more. Over the years, Nick has been fortunate to work with talented teams at start-ups and high-growth technology companies such as 3PARdata, CommVault, Vormetric, Thales TCT, and Calypso AI in various roles. In his current role at Qmulos, Nick is responsible for all company revenue-generating activities. Qmulos helps organizations leverage compliance to reduce risk and improve cybersecurity. You can find him cheering at lacrosse tournaments on the weekend.

Russ Odom

Chief Financial Officer
Russ is an accomplished executive with more than 25 years of financial, operational and strategic planning experience working with growth stage technology companies. As chief financial officer, he oversees accounting, finance, tax, and legal functions. He most recently was CFO for Trustwave Government Solutions, a cybersecurity software company. Previously, Russ held financial and operational leadership roles at Abila, Avectra, and Vovici, and began his career with Ernst & Young in Washington, DC. He is a certified public accountant and has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, Smith School of Business. Russ can be found hitting the trails on weekends, whether hiking, biking, or running.

Igor Volovich

Vice President, Compliance Strategy

With over 20 years of cybersecurity leadership experience, Igor Volovich is renowned for driving major impacts in both the private and public sectors. He currently serves as Vice President of Compliance Strategy at Qmulos, after previously holding CISO roles at Invensys and Schneider Electric. Most recently, Igor leveraged his expertise as an advisor to the CISO at the United States Postal Service, assisting with enterprise security strategy and architecture. An acclaimed speaker and thought leader, he hosts the popular “Compliance Therapy” podcast and co-authored the upcoming book “Dear CISO: Notes From the Battlefield.” Igor continues to be an invaluable voice in the field, sharing his perspectives on risk management and strategy via LinkedIn and Twitter (@CyberIgor).

Christine Lai

Senior Vice President, Product Delivery

Christine strives to be a collaborative partner in enabling customer’s strategic cybersecurity goals and solutions. Her team includes compliance, technical, project management, and training experts, who ensure that customers have a seamless experience from solutions deployment through adoption. The mission of the product delivery team is to help customers maximize the value of Q-products and services by working closely with all parts of the organization – be it system administration, ISSO/ISSM, or leadership teams. Christine has 15+ years of strategy and technology experience, working with public and commercial customers in the US and globally in cybersecurity and other domains. Prior to Qmulos, she was in management and consulting positions at IBM, SRA, and Booz Allen. She holds a Master’s in Technology Management from Georgetown University, MBA from IE Business School, and BA from Cornell University. In her free time, Christine can be found hiking and trying a new bottle of wine!

Karthik Subramanian

Vice President, Technical Enablement

Karthik has been in IT data analytics, cybersecurity, and compliance fields for nearly a decade. At Qmulos, he enables, manages, and trains our award-winning Qmulos Professional Services team and isn’t afraid to sometimes deliver professional services, too! Prior to Qmulos, he trained multiple Professional Services teams while performing Splunk Professional Services. Prior to entering the IT world, he had prior lives as a patent examiner and an engineer designing jet engines and rockets. His degrees come from football schools: he has a JD from the University of Alabama, and two bachelor’s degrees from Virginia Tech. When he’s not working, you can find him at a pub trivia night, at a foodie experience, or traveling as much as he can!

Theresa Feraren

Vice President, Marketing

As a seasoned marketing and communications leader, Theresa Feraren brings nearly two decades of experience driving strategic marketing for major global organizations. From transforming the marketing function into a revenue-generating engine during her tenure at a leading testing, inspection, and certification company to building a marketing organization for a global PVF supplier, Feraren has consistently demonstrated how bold, strategic marketing can transform companies. Notable accomplishments include leading website relaunches and rebranding initiatives, as well as building marketing infrastructures focused on demand generation and revenue. In every role, Feraren has focused on elevating diverse talent, especially women, into leadership positions. Her passion for mentorship stems from the guidance she received early in her career. With her proven track record of using marketing to catalyze organizational change, Feraren is well-positioned to continue making an impact at Qmulos.

Matt Hopke

Vice President, Sales

Matt Hopke brings over 15 years of sales leadership experience to his role as Vice President of Sales at Qmulos. In this position, Matt oversees the company’s sales team and develops strategies to drive revenue growth. He excels at building partnerships with customers, understanding their unique technology needs, and delivering tailored solutions to help them meet their risk management and compliance goals.  Prior to joining Qmulos, Matt held sales roles at various SaaS companies where he consistently exceeded revenue targets. He has a proven track record of managing high-performing teams and implementing processes to scale sales operations.  Outside of work, Matt has a passion for golf. He competes on a competitive tour and has won multiple events over the years. Matt even qualified for National Championships thanks to his skilled play and competitive spirit.

Rutger Thomschutz

Vice President, Data Engineering

Rutger brings over 25 years of unparalleled expertise in technology to our team. Rutger leads the data engineering strategy, focusing on reducing time to deployment and architecting data ingestion strategies for Q-Compliance and Q-Audit. His experience spans engineering, consulting, and strategic alliance-building. Throughout his distinguished career, he has assisted both public and private sector organizations in solving complex challenges in big data engineering, architecture design, automation, security, compliance, risk mitigation, and monitoring. More than just a technical expert, he combines strategic insight with hands-on proficiency, ensuring solutions are both cutting-edge and actionable.

Daniel Letchev

Vice President, Software Development

Daniel Letchev brings over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity and software development to his role as Vice President of Software Development at Qmulos, where he oversees the development of flagship products, Q-Compliance and Q-Audit, which automate compliance and continuous monitoring for enterprise security. Prior to Qmulos, Daniel worked at Booz Allen Hamilton building the Department of Defense’s enterprise continuous monitoring system that analyzed security posture across millions of DOD devices. Daniel’s passion for cybersecurity began at the University of Virginia where he earned dual degrees in computer science and computer engineering, and he has since dedicated his career to developing innovative solutions that help organizations proactively identify and mitigate security risks.
